Carrie + Eric at the Stanford Court

Carrie & Eric were referred to me by her sister – a dear friend of mine.  I was really honored when they decided to book me – and excited to shoot this San Francisco wedding!  They were married at the Stanford Court Hotel, which is located at the top of California street with breath taking views of the city and trolley cars whizzing by at all hours of the day.  It was a fun and very iconic place to shoot a wedding.  A lot of the event was put on by the hotel, but there were some stand out vendors.  Ellen Kim at Gingerleaf Floral did the beautiful flowers, their videographer from Permagrin did a spectacular job documenting the entire event, Carol Attia at Under the Chuppah did a wonderful job with their Chuppah and they rocked out with Fog City Entertainment until the wee hours of the night.  Carrie & Eric were so easy to work with and really know how to put on a beautiful event.  Congrats again to you both! Allison + Linn in the Presidio

Allison and Linn live in Seattle, but wanted to celebrate their wedding in the lovely city of San Francisco!  They were married at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the beautiful garden over looking the Golden Gate Bridge in June of last year.  I was so thrilled when they asked me to shoot their wedding.  Their wonderful reception was at the iconic Presidio Social Club which was a perfect venue for this intimate wedding.  Allison’s as well as the bridesmaid’s flowers were also used at table decorations and were done by Allison’s close friend Kim Itani (who in my opinion should do flowers for a living!) – what a great idea!  We had great weather and we even got to see the Golden Gate bridge for a few minutes!  It truly was a beautiful, intimate wedding.  I can’t thank Allison and Linn enough fro having me be a part of their special day!

Thank YOU & Happy 2012!

I wanted to give a quick thanks to all my clients of 2011!  I had a very busy year and with the arrival of our little one (Due March 4, 2012) I have a feeling 2012 is going to be even busier!  I chose some of my favorite photos from my holiday family portraits from this year in this little collage.  You were all so fun to photograph, I can’t wait to see you all again soon:)

Baby Leo Arrives…

Ok, so baby Leo is over a year old now – but I had to post this blog about the amazing Home Birth experience with my oldest and dearest friend Nona.  I have been lucky enough to photograph both Nona’s births, and they were experiences I will never forget.  The ever amazing midwives, Claudia Breglia and Jen Brown of ‘Born At Home‘ are so sweet and made this experience so special.  I was shooting an event all day and was checking in with Nona and her husband Levi to make sure I was not going to miss it!  I finally got in the car at 4pm and made it to Sacramento in time to take photos of baby Leo arriving into the world.  Both Nona’s births are experiences I will never forget.  I feel so special to have been a part of these amazing milestones in my best friend’s life.  Nona is one of the strongest people and mothers I know, and  I will always feel attached to both her sweet boys.  I love you & your wonderful family:)

Bay Area Wedding Network

The Bay Area Wedding Network is a wonderful organization, founded by Gwen Helbush and Marie Rios in November 2000.  A wonderful inclusive networking group dedicated to helping businesses in the wedding industry through networking and education to provide the best service possible in the industry!  This BAWN event was held at the Craneway Pavilion last winter and was a wonderful event for wedding professionals in the bay area to meet each other and enjoy themselves!  Bartenders Unlimited kicked off the beginning of the party on the front part of the Craneway Pavilion with delicious signature cocktails…  The curtain then was raised to show a beautiful display of  from Asqew Grill Catering, Blue Heron Catering, Sinful Treats  & True Confections.  Not to mention the fabulous table designs of Creative Coverings & Laurel Designs.  The last curtain was then raised to an exciting club-like atmosphere put together by Fantasy Sound Event Services & CORT Event Furnishing.  It was a fabulous night of drinks, food and dancing.  Thanks again to the wonderful Gwen Helbush for having me shoot her wonderful event!
